Charles Galvin was elected to the Board of Education in November 2017. He is an attorney at Frost Brown Todd LLC. Charles received his BA from Xavier University where he majored in English and minored in Business, and his JD from Notre Dame Law School. He and his wife Natalie, a teacher in the Lakota school district, are the proud parents of three Comet Kids Lydia, Liam, and Delaney. Charles enjoys being active in his church and occasionally competing on soccer fields or in swimming pools around town.

Ian Orr was elected to the Board of Education in November 2021. He works as an Account Executive Officer with Travelers Insurance and has been named as a Top 20 under 40 Insurance Professional by the Cincinnati Insurance Board. He received his BA from Xavier University where he majored in Political Science. Orr has been involved in My Brother’s Keeper Cincinnati as the Treasurer and volunteers as a youth basketball coach in Mason. He and his wife, Jessica, are the proud parents of MHS Class of 2013’s E.J. Class of 2017’s Maiya, Class of 2025’s Eden, and Class of 2028’s Aren.

Desiree Batsche was elected to the Board of Education in November 2019. She is married to Andrew and they have two children - a Mason High School graduate and current MHS Comet. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors degree in Sociology, specializing in Criminal Justice. Desiree served as Business Administrator for Batsche & Batsche Law Firm and as Director of the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center before taking time off to raise their children. Desiree is volunteer for the Warren County 4H program as a horse advisor.

Connie Yingling

Connie Yingling has spent over two decades serving on the Mason City Schools Board of Education, having been appointed in 1999 and subsequently elected to seven full terms. During her tenure, she has served as Board President, Vice President, and Legislative Liaison. She and her husband Jerry, have two children who are graduates of Mason Schools. Connie discovered her passion for supporting our educational system as an active volunteer during her sons’ school years, including tutoring at-risk kids, coaching, and fund raising. She holds a BS in Business Administration from Miami University.
