Family Tech Systems GPS

Despite trying to find a single place that houses all information and does everything needed to Mason Quality standards, we've been challenged to do so. We seek platforms that meet the needs and perform functions exceptionally well versus trying to do a lot of things moderately well. Below you'll find a guide to help you navigate the systems we use. If you get stuck, email and be happy to point you in the right direction.

Back to School Gateway


  • Click here to go to the Back to School Gateway

  • The username is your child’s student id

  • Your password was sent in the family communication. If you do not know your password, send an email (from your school-registered email address) to


Home Access Center Login Information | HAC

First-Time Login

  • Click Register for HAC

  • Select Mason City Schools

  • Enter Information and click Register (must use the same email address that’s currently listed on your child’s account) - make sure you use the email that’s registered with the district

  • You’ll receive an email with an access token

  • Click the Register Here link within your email and enter the access token


Logins (anytime after initial account setup)

MasonConnects Login Information

  1. Go to

  2. Click Sign In as Parent

Choose which method you would like to use to sign-in using Microsoft, Facebook or Google. You will need the password to the account you wish to use to login, if you don’t have one of these accounts you can create a Gmail or Microsoft email. 

Create a Google Account or Create a Microsoft Email

  1. Once logged in you will see the home page and announcements

  2. Click the + sign in the upper right-hand corner to add a student

  3. Enter this access code <<provided in August or email to receive an access code>>  and click Verify

  4. Repeat the process to add any additional children

  5. Click on the three horizontal lines and click Students

  6. Here you’ll find schedule information, contact information, assessments, and plans


Safe Arrival and School Messenger Text Notification Login Instructions

Initial Setup Instructions

Have you signed up for Safe Arrival / School Messenger?   Not sure?  If you attempt to sign up, it will tell you that an account already exists. Simply click the forgot password link, and you’ll receive an email communication.

  1. Navigate to

  2. Create an account by clicking Sign Up in the upper right-hand corner

  3. You MUST sign up with your HAC (also shown within MasonConnects under Primary Contacts) registered email address

  4. The system will send a confirmation email, from which you must click a link to verify that it is you.

  5. Then, you can proceed with the instructions below.

Reporting an Absence

  1. Navigate to

  2. Click login in the upper right-hand corner

  3. Click on the three lines in the upper left-hand corner

  4. Click Attendance

  5. Click the plus sign beside Report an Absence

  6. Select the student

  7. Select the type of absence

  8. Select the reason

  9. Click Send

  10. That’s it!

Schoology Login Instructions

First time login instructions:

  1. Go to the Schoology Forgot Password page

  2. Enter the email that’s associated with your child (what’s on file with the school - Check  to learn more)

  3. Click the Send My Login Info

  4. Watch your email for instructions for resetting your password


Returning Users:

  1. Go to the Schoology login page

  2. Enter your username and password

  3. Click Login

Stopfinder Login Instructions



  • Step 1: You’ll receive an invitation via email (please don’t forget check your SPAM folder) This will give you the opportunity to set your password. If you didn’t receive your invitation, send an email to letting them know.

  • Step 2: Download the Stopfinder app. on your I-phone, I-Pad, personal device or android.  You can find this app by visiting your app store on your device.

  • Step 3:  Login to your Stopfinder app on your phone using the following:

    • Login:  the email address this invitation was sent to

    • Password:  password you just created

    - To view your student's transportation information, you need to be on a scheduled school date (ie. August 17, 2023).  If you are on a non school day (ie. July 25, 2023), no transportation information will appear.

    - If your student is a car rider or student driver, no busing/transportation information will appear on the dates in the Stopfinder app.  Only the busing information will appear.

    - School bus numbers will be available/appear on July 31. Currently, you will see the trip name (ie. MECC 003, HS 014, MEMI 028, MM 046, etc).  School bus numbers will be 1 through 130.

    - If you just enrolled your student, it will take a few days for their transportation information to be updated.

    - Make sure to carefully review your student's stop information.  If there needs to be a change to the pick-up and/or drop-off location, submit a Transportation Change Request. NOTE - Since we switched to a new transportation system, most stops have been scheduled based on a student's home address.  If your student will be at another location (ie. Daycare/Sitter, Non Residential Parent, Car Rider or Extended Care), please make sure to submit a Transportation Change Request
