Private School Transportation

To request transportation for your student for the 26-27 school year, submit a Private School Transportation Request to the Transportation Office.If you have more than one child, please fill out a form for each student. For first time registration or if you are new to the district, proof of residency must be provided with your transportation request. This can be a lease agreement or closing statement of a home purchase.

New forms must be submitted each school year by August 1. Please ensure you complete and submit your forms as soon as possible to avoid any delays in processing.

You can access your child’s busing information through Stopfinder.  You will receive an Invitation Email for Stopfinder once your Non Public Transportation Request Form has been received and processed which will allow you to download the app and sign in.

Each year, MCS examines bus routes within our transportation system, and enlists the Ohio Department of Education to evaluate our private school routes. By state law the Mason City School District is not required to provide transportation to any private schools with routes over 30 minutes.

Routes are evaluated for the number of students utilizing transportation services. If there is not a reasonable number of students riding a route on a regular basis, transportation to that school will be declared impractical.

Parents may access their child’s bus information within StopFinder, an all in-one app for families.

Access to your child's schedules are only granted to the student's parents/guardians by the Transportation Department.

It is important to check your child's transportation information again before school begins.  Changes may occur due to processing family change requests and new family move-ins.

On days when Mason Schools are not in session due to the school calendar, abbreviated routes will be run to bring students to the transfer location for transportation to the non public schools. 

If Mason City Schools close due to inclement weather, transportation will not be provided AM or PM to any school.

 On days when a 2 hour delay has been declared, MCS will transport nonpublic students on the delay schedule along with MCS students.
