WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF LEARNERS
Every member of the Mason City Schools community is a learner. We engage in meaningful, relevant, and continuous learning for all. It is our job to prepare well, ready learners for their tomorrow. To do that, we strive to personalize learning. We belive all learners want to positively contribute to society now and in the future. Personalized learning honors the learner as a partner and co-creator. By personalizing learning, individuals are prepared to be independent learners who continually seek to understand the world and approach problems through a lens of equity and empathy. They are prepared to adjust and adapt to ever-changing world contexts, and value learning as a lifelong process.

In Mason City Schools we engage in a cyclical curriculum and instructional resource review process that generally repeats every five years and annually address a specific subject (mathematics, English language arts, visual arts, etc.)
