MMS Media Center

The Media Center is open throughout the day with extended hours to provide support for research, information, and reading needs of students in order to maximize their achievement.  The Media Center is centrally located in the building just outside the Red Dot and is open Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm and Friday until 2:30.  Hours may vary around holidays.

Students are required to present their student ID cards when checking out materials from the Media Center.  The ID card can be obtained by having pictures taken on picture day at the beginning of the school year.  In the event a student loses their ID card, a replacement can be made in  the Media Center for $1.00,  please allow a minimum of 2 days for printing. 

A student can check out books for 2 weeks if the student does not have fines or other overdue materials.  Books may be renewed as long as the item is not on hold for another student or teacher.  A fine of .10 cents per school day is accessed for overdue books.  Lost and/or damaged materials must be paid for by the student.  Note: Magazines and reference books are a two day check out and a fine of .25 cents per school day is accessed for overdue material. 

A continuously growing eBook collection is also available and accessible 24/7, 365 days a year.  eBooks can be downloaded to a personal device using the student district network login through the online catalog system (  

Young Adult (YA) materials are available for student check out.  A signed parent permission slip is required before allowing a student to check out a YA book.  Permission slips are available at the Media Center desk and on the Media Center page.  Please note: The signed permission form will only cover print materials, as we are unable to monitor what student’s check out electronically.
