#InnovatecincyStudents in grades 7-12 have a unique summer learning opportunity!

The Mason City School District is proud to partner with Xavier University, Forest Hills School District, and the Loveland School District to offer students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to participate in the second annual #InnovateCincy event August 1 and 2.

#InnovateCincy is a unique summer learning experience facilitated by companies presenting real-life business challenges and asking student teams to help problem solve. Students will work with coaches to design unique solutions in a fun and creative environment.

"Last year, during #InnovateCincy's first year, I was in awe of the solutions students designed to solve business challenges," said Mason's Innovate Programs Administrator, Christine McCormick. "As the event progressed, students gained confidence in their solutions and began tapping into their creative power."

"Seeing firsthand the excitement and impact this opportunity had on our students last year was truly remarkable,” said Loveland Director of Technology and Innovation David Knapp. “Through collaborating with local peers, educators, businesses, and design-thinking professionals, our students gained a glimpse into the real world of creative problem solving. This unique event gives students an opportunity to learn and apply the design thinking process, an innovative problem-solving method being used by professionals in the field today."

#InnovateCincy will take place at Mason High School. The program is only accepting a limited number of participants, so any student who is interested should sign up now at innovatecincy.com. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please check out innovatecincy.com or email Christine McCormick or Aaron Roberts.
