Several Mason City Schools students' masterpieces were recently designated a part of the Mason Central art collection that will be displayed throughout the 2018-2019 school year.
Deputy Superintendent Jonathan Cooper invited each artist and his or her family to a special reception in the students’ honor on May 9.
"Originally, I was an art major in college. And, while I ended up finding my true calling in teaching, I still love art. Each piece that I chose for this year's art collection was speaking to me about a special story that it's artist was revealing. I couldn't wait to meet each of you, and hear the story behind your piece. Thank you for creating these works, and letting all of our Central Office visitors see your stories."
