Courtney Allen and Kevin Wise, re-elected in November, were sworn in and began their new four-year terms. In addition, the 5-member board unanimously re-elected Allen as President and Matt Steele as Vice President for 2016.

"I want to thank the community for their support in re-electing Kevin and I to represent you. I can tell you from the bottom of my heart that I appreciate that confidence, and the support of my fellow board members for allowing me to serve as president once again. Most importantly, I am excited about the vision and work that is happening in our schools to make sure that our students' futures are bright. Whether it be the new STEM Learning Centers at the elementary schools, the incredible performance of our band in the Rose Parade, or the clean financial audit of our district - 2016 is off to a great start and I'm confident that the best is yet to come!"

The board also reappointed Wise as the legislative liaison to the Ohio School Boards Association, and reappointed Allen as the student achievement liaison to the Ohio School Boards Association.

Board officers serve one-year terms.
