Mason High School sophomore Natasha Saputra delivered more than $1,500 worth of books, toys and board games to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital during the fifth year of her Book-for-A-Cure Fundraiser. Saputra founded the fundraiser while in sixth grade as part of the Mason Intermediate ACT Problem Solving Project.
A few weeks prior to the ACT class, Saputra was exposed to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital after performing on the piano as part of the UC CCM Prep Concert for Smile. This mini concert was open to all patients in the hospital and was also televised live to the patients' rooms.
"The patients were so excited for the concert. Afterwards, I kept thinking about what I could do to help them even more," Saputra explained.
To date, Natasha has raised over $7,500 worth of books and board games for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She plans to continue this fundraiser year-after-year.
