Mason City Schools' transportation office has been totally transformed!  Bus drivers Rebecca Bate, Jenny Reed, Theresa Tener, and Amy Wilson wanted to make the entrance that greets guests and staff more cheerful and welcoming.  With help from Mason maintenance department's Mark Lewis and Jim Turpin, and transportation mechanic Darryl the team created a mock school bus - with working lights and fixtures! All of these talented staffers donated their time and materials.

"When school started back up and as our transportation team walked in the front doors to this new addition people have been excited, astonished, and we've seen many smiles.  Our team has over 80 years experience between us, and we love watching the faces of visitors as they enter the building," said Bate.

Mason Schools community members were "wowed" by the results. Fifty-one people commented on the Mason Schools Facebook post about the clever renovation.
"How fun! This is super impressive! Great job showing excellence in all you do!" commented Lisa Jo Brovont Babb.
