Each semester, the Greater Cincinnati Credit Union (GCCU) sponsors the Perfect Attendance Luncheon, which rewards 12 Mason High School students with a $100 cash award. This year, the credit union added an additional reward for Mason High School students.
Russ Henry from GCCU will now offer a new $500 cash scholarship to one deserving MHS student.
The inaugural winner of the scholarship is
Rachel Gutjahr, who was nominated by her MHS School Counselor
Phyllis Bell. Gutjahr plans to put the scholarship to use for her post-secondary plans as she pursues her education at University of Cincinnati Blue Ash.
"It is such a wonderful gift!" shared MHS School Counselor
Megan Korengel, who attended the scholarship presentation alongside MHS Assistant Principal
Shanna Bumiller, Henry, and Gutjahr.
