For many years, the Mason City School District has been engaged in an intensive process to develop a long-range Facilities Master Plan. The goal of the plan is simple: Create an efficient use of school facilities to produce the most benefit for our community’s learners.

The Facilities Master Plan has three core principles:
- Ensure that all schools are safe, technology-ready, and
high-quality.
- Configure grade levels in a way that best meets the needs of students today, and 50 years from now.
- Reduce operating costs while recouping state money for needed capital improvements.
Learn how the plan reduces operating costs while recouping state partnership funding.
